I have a 3 1/2 yr old boy who was born 1lb 7oz at 24 wks truely a miracle and a blessing. He is my only child and my life. Lately, DJ is being rude and mean. He has hit me, pinched me and worse spit in my face at church. My son knows consequence and outcome. time out and toys are put up everyday. I have tried talking to him and even biting him back(as one mother told me would work) that did nothing. He does have a sensory issue and does not process input as well so I take the time to think about what was done and how to handle it that is why I am posting this request. He does not do this at school ( so far) and he has attmepted it on his dad. I am the target of his outburst and his use of the word no, i bet he can spell it he uses it so much. I wanted a child so much and he makes me feel as if he does not want me sometimes. I know I will survive but if you could suggest something it would be greatly appreciated.
