From what I heard, David sent a blanket e-mail to his fans asking them to vote more than once.

Before you all head off to spend the holiday weekend in the company of family and friends, I*d like to ask you to do a small favor for me. My new show Ruby and the Rockits airs on Tuesday evenings at 8:30 P.M. on ABCFamily network. The show has been breaking records all across the board but we need you to VOTE FOR Ruby and the Rockits this weekend on Entertainment Online*s "Which TV Show Rocked Your Summer?" poll.
Now, What kind of records did that show break. Why lie to your fans?
Why do people believe everything coming out of David's mouth?

I don't know about anybody else but to me the whole statement by David seems a little hypocritical, if the show was a success then he wouldn't of been so desperate for people to go online and vote. The show was horrible, the girl could not sing a note without somebody's ears bleeding, the acting was so bad it was soap opera cheesy, all in all it stunk. End of story.
When 10 Things I Hate About You has viewers of over 1 million people at 8:00, and then at 8:30 the number of people watching Ruby drops to only 900,000 that is not breaking records across the boards.
Celebrity websites always bend the truth and never say how things really are. Lying to fans is nothing to them. It just makes it worse when they say the show was doing so great when it fact the ratings kept going down each week.
This is what some people just don't seem to get through their heads! The ratings for the show stunk!
Just because you liked it and some other few people watched it doesn't make it a hit. Stop saying ABC made a mistake. IF the show was losing money for the network, it is not a mistake to cancel it.
And it more and more just seems that David Cassidy fans only want it back cos he was on it. That's all!!
It was a very amateurish looking show, not filmed or better acting like on the other ABC Family shows.

or is this your “further evidence" that we are all wrong and it will be back?
BTW, everyone knows that poll was a complete hoax. Someone was playing a joke on ABC Family by using auto-voting bots for Ruby & the Rockits. Common practice. Doesn’t matter, ratings speak much louder than that poll (obviously).
