This show is amazing. It's not promoting teenage pregnancy (and i am a teen, 13), it's showing what some teens are going through @ such a young age! So stop dissin' the show just b/c you are dumb. The Secret Life of the American Teenager is a GREAT show, so if you dislike it, DON'T complain b/c no one cares if you hate i, so get a life.

Yeah you guys are right. I realize some of these topics aren't exactly something you talk about with really young kids like 10 year olds ,but when kids are in middle school and high school they should know about this stuff and there is nothing wrong with this show. I think people know getting pregnant [filtered word] when your 15 or very young , but i don't think people really understand what the consequences are and how difficult it is to have a baby. Its not like your playing house....you have to have money and a job and know how to raise a child. The choices you have to make when your pregnant ( if you don't have someone make them for you) at a young age are usually way beyond your maturity level like deciding if you want to have an abortion or keep the baby or give it up for adoption....that is what this show helps people learn even if at first glance it may not seem like it.
ok i commenting on the complaint also. this show is not promoting teen pregnancy. it is showing the results of messing around at a very young age. an age where u think ur old enough to have sex. when in reality ur not. and i think that Shailene Woodley does an amazing job at protraying the character. she definatley brings out the fear, and confusion that would come with finding out that ur pregnant at 15 or any other age in the teens catagory. and shes the complete opposite of what we normally think of when we hear "teen pregnancy". i love her i think shes awesome! and i admire her for taking on this role. its very bold. so bottom line: The Secret Life of an American Teenager is an awesome show! i love it and so do millions of other people! so dont talk smack about it on here. thats not what the commenting thing is for. and im sure Shailene and the other actors on the show wouldnt appreciate it if they saw the rude comments. lol later!...wow that was long.
(commenting on the complaint) its not that theyre promoting teenage pregnancys i think your misunderstanding it entirely...theyre showing you that this thing really happens trust me with or without the show it was bound to happen anyway...and theyre showing that its ok to be afraid and not know what to do and that people that love you will support you and help you through it no matter what decision you make and i think abc family deserves lots of kudos for being bold enough to put this on their channel i think it will create a lot more awareness ..plus its really sweet to watch the teen love and crushes and watching them grow....really was it even needed to leave a comment like you did

I am SO tired of ABC Family forgetting what "Family" is really about and to STOP promoting a show that continually advertises a pregnant 15 year old girl. I am proud of her family support on the show and them trying to do the right thing, but this show should not exist. There are much better topics for tv shows to get our kids interested in.

Well you are an Idiot for saying that!!!!And it is a ENORMOUS thing.... What you go home one day when you are 15-17 and you tell you parents YOU ARE REALLY PREGNANT!!!!! It would be STUPID to do it anyway... Why would any Teen want to have a kid when you are STILL are in HIGH~SCHOOL... AND why would they want to have a show about two teenagers do it at band camp and she gets pregnant then she meets this other guy that becomes her boyfriend then they get fake ID`s and go get married... Now what is gonna happen to the baby???? Her mom is not gonna keep Amy`s baby!!! They need to do what ever is BEST FOR THE BABY AND NOT WHAT IS EASIER FOR THEM!!!! Whoa!!!! I had ALOT to say!!!!
