i know ashley thinks that just because amy is pregnant her parents wont care but her family already has enough problems as it is and people are already talking about amy and how her parents arent together but imagine if she started smoking people would start talking about her and how bad she is and that would just make people at amys school just talk more crap about her so ashley shouldnt think her parents dont care because shes just making her family look even more bad.

I hope that Ashley doesn't start smoking. It would not be a good thing for a younger audience to be watching this show and see a young child smoking.
Younger people should never smoke or use any nicotine products. Not just cigarettes, but also chewing tobacco, cigars, snuff, or even **link removed**. The poor choices they may make now may very well come back to haunt them in the future. Good friends of mine have passed on with alot of suffering from making such bad choices.
I hope she doesn't do it.

She won't. She's alot smarter than that. Even if she does try it she won't take it up as a habit. But I doubt she will even light it. She is just holding it. Ashley is too smart for that.

She's meets this guy at a gas station that try's to get her to feel sorry for him by telling her that his dog died. Ashley seems uninterested. I think she want to be successfully rebellious at this point. The guy sits down on the bench beside her and offers her a cigarette. Ashley reply's accepts, but says she hasn't smoked before. At this point, while Ashley has accepted the cigarette, she hold it in her hand as her dad drives by with Amy. George calmly asks if she's taking the bus. Ashley says yes and he says OK and drives off. Amy seems very upset about Ashley smoking, but in the whole scene, Ashley never gets close to lighting the cigarette.

But if you actually look at the picture it hasn't even been lit. I have seen all the sneak peeks on youtube for this episode and from the clip for this scene she doesn't even light it.
Life will never turn out just perfect, so live with what happens to the fullest and never give up the faith for tomorrow.
wow, smoking isn't a big deal, yeah its bad for you but My husband and I do it. Idk why...but its a bad habit to get into...>.< and if Ashley does start smoking its all because she just can't take what is happening to her family. I started smoking because things at home with my rents weren't going well and i made a bad choice of having to smoke to get my stress out of me. yea it works but there are other ways to do it other then smoking.
but if Ashley does take up smoking i can understand why she would.
