okay this is driving me batty!!!! i made it all the way up to episode 18 and now nothin. I don't know if it has anything to do with this flippin high resolution or not but all it says is initializing (about 3 sec left). This stinks!!!!!

Ben is a sweet human being , he cares about amy . Ricky is irresponsible little kid he needs to grow up and step up to his responsibility , he had tought , being raped and abuse as a child but tht doesnt give him the right to play and wana get with all girls .i love ashley she says what is on her mind .

i really love this frikkin show!! i love everything about it except BEN! its cool that hes tryna be man enough to take care of some other dudes baby but he dont even know what hez bouta get into! amy should definitely keep tha baby shes just bein ignorant on the whole thing theres so many things for teen mothers now adays in high school and it makes me mad that she cant see tha big picture of how amazing it is to raise a child! i mean its hard at times but its not THAT hard(and im doin it without the father of my baby helpin me)..wutever tho.. i think she needs to quit messin with LAME ben and try to make a relationship with ricky.. at least as friends and ben should just GO AWAY he'z so irritating u dont love someone after the 2nd time u talk hes ridiculous i wana kick him in his throat!!!!!! ys he gotta be so clingy??point of this tho.. amy should quit tryna run away from her problem she made this baby n now i think she should take care of it.. she even said she loves the baby and she thinks everything is okay when she feels the baby then its obvious that she needs to keep it!!! i vote amy and ricky with tha baby as a family!!!! Ok this is where i stand so far on this show...,,,
First Amy&&Ricky should be together(In my opionin)
But Amy&&Ben are definetly a cute couple.
Grace should stop bragging bout her birth control pills cuz thats wats gonna get her in trouble by guys (possibly ricky but i hope not)
Adrian comes off as a bad girl/slut but deep down i know she is a good girl waiting for college and a good life and i think her brother, which by the way is weird that they are dating, will help her reach that.
Jack should just back off shawna i think thats just a part of the show i think no1 cares bout and she is too old for him.
ashley bugs me she thinks she knows it all but i do think she is trying to help.
I hope amy dosent give the baby up and ricky and her can live happily ever after with that baby

Okay..Here are a few things that I've noticed...
Everyone has their own opinion..Don't take it so seriously..It's a tv show for goodness sakes!
I work for an attorney which is the Guardian Ad Litem for the abuse and neglect cases here in our very small town..
On adoption: Yes, she needs to do what's best for her baby, but is this really truely what's best for him?
My mother has adopted 4 children in the past 4 years. One of which is actually a cousin which had a father who sexually molested his older siblings, to this day we are not certain that he was molested..The other three are siblings which was placed in my mother's home through foster care. The oldest child which was 7 at the time mom became their foster mother, was molested by a DAY CARE WORKER, the 15 month old was also molested. The one month old was not..BUT she was a "crack baby". The 15 month old was supposedly molested by the older sibling. They removed him from our home. The molestation against her was not substantiated against him. They moved him back into the home. Now my mother will finalize their adoption this coming month. Now..The point I am trying to make.....For these children, ALL four of them, adoption WAS the best solution. For some children it is not. Amy's character is a very good person and eventhough she is 15 years old I believe that she COULD make a good mother. No one ever said it was going to be easy. Is adoption the BEST solution to a situation like hers? Not always. I strongly believe in adoption, IF it's the best thing for the baby.. In this small town I live in there were MANY teenage mothers. Believe it or not, some of which were only 11 and 12 years old. Sad but true. As for their decision on adoption or teenage motherhood I do not know.

On teenager mothers: I believe that now-a-days kids are growing up far too fast! Like I said an 11 and 12 year old CHILD having SEX! It's so over their heads. I am 23 years old and I can GLADLY say I waited AT LEAST until I was out of high school. YES. It was hard due to guys like Ricky's character and being young and dumb THINKING this boy or that boy liked me. Thankfully I had a wonderful mother. She was and still is my best friend. She made sure that I knew 100% that I could tell her anything. And ANY time I messed up I ran straight to her and "told on myself". Teenagers being parents is not ever going to be easy. Yes, Amy's character has to fulfill school, band, a job, etc. School is definately something she HAS to finish if she wants to make a better life for her baby. A job is something else she needs to get. Now..Honestly..Do you think that band will end up being more important to Amy than her baby boy? I don't. I believe that she will gladly give up something that she loves for her baby in the long run. There's some free time she has for him ) I believe that her mother should step up and watch the baby every now and then BECAUSE I don't trust day care's anymore. If you've read ALL of this you know why. I believe that she should get a babysitter to stay with the baby during school hours and I believe her mom should love and support her enough to watch the baby during her part-time job working hours, or HEY even Miss Ashley could help out, she wants Amy to keep the baby so badly I'm sure she wouldn't care to help! Then again, like Amy said, there is always government assistance and I believe that she should not be ashamed to take such lengths -IF- she has to, and ONLY if! Some states will not allow a 15 year old to work, unless it's through some kind of program. I believe that if you're old enough to make the decision to have sex then you should be old enough to care for a child. You never know what might happen.

I'm not ranting and raving. I'm just giving a civilized opinion. I believe that she should do what's best for the baby in this show. Not what's best for her or her family.

Amy should get a job just in case adoption doesnt work out.Shes pregnant not diabled.Alot of teen get jobs when they find out theyre pregnant. She should aslo concentrate on working, going to school, and being pregnant.She shouldnt be in a realtionship wither either ben or Ricky.@ least not while shes pregnant.she shouldnt be with ricky jus because he got her pregnant, if they become friends and it turns into more down the road thats different.Shes got enought to worry about she doesnt need boy problems.She also shouldnt be so upset that her mom wants to work its good for every one, they could use extra money.Mabe shell see all that once the baby arrives.

Why are so many people opposed to adoption? A lot of the comments are something along the lines of "Amy needs to take responsibity for her actions".
What is that supposed to mean? She's supposed to drop out of highschool, marry Ricky, and take care of the baby fulltime? Taking responsibility is doing whatever is best for the baby, and having Amy be the mother is not necessarily the best thing. Amy probably care for her baby, though it would take a tremendous amount of time, money and energy. Teenage mothers CAN and do do that, but people shouldn't be angry or upset if they choose not to keep their baby. It's hard, and many people know that they aren't ready to be parents, so they choose to give the child up for adoption. Taking responsibility does not always mean caring for the baby yourself.

And what's up with people wanting Amy with Ricky? Yes, Ricky is much better looking than Ben and is less annoying, but the guy is certainly NOT the ideal boyfriend or father. And he doesn't love Amy. Maybe he says he does, but he doesn't. He loves his son, but he's trying to find a way to keep the baby through Amy. Let's face it: Ben is much better for Amy.

I HATE BEN!! hes too clingy and gets in the way.I want Amy and Ricky togther:) Rickys way better than Ben!

First of all....who ever wants Ben and Amy to be together are cool. ( according to meghan) but to me (steff) i want ricky and amy to be together. he is at least trying to change for her.
Meghan: I personally think a person can't change as fast as they want to..right after he was with amy and said he loved amy he called adrainne and grace looking for some BOOTY!!! i don't think he will change right away and besides i think ben is a man for wanting to raise amys baby..even tho he is annoying at times..

Steff: i think the baby shouldnt be adopted cuz its clear that amy wants it. if she wants ben she needs to say and not go back and forth between him and ricky just cuz its rickys baby. the mom and dad need to get back together i mean they had sex. obviously there are some feelings still left. i think ashley is the smartest one on the show. she isnt even really involved in anything and she has better advice than any of them.

Meghan: that's because she sees the bigger picture than anyone...
ya she does have a point...i know from expierence...trust me..i really think the parents are going to get back together they just need to stop being so stubborn when it comes to their marraige...that's all i really got to say about that..

Steff: i for one think that grace wants to have sex with ricky i mean why does she keep goign back to him of all people when she is "supposed" to christian?! and addrienne is gross. i cant believe she would actually do something like that just cuz she is a sex addict and ricky dont want her anymore. and jack isn a good mentor. he is dating his mentee's sister.

Meghan: i just can't believe that adrianne is dating her step brother..i know they aint blood related it's just the fact that her dad is married and is sleeping with his mom..and i for one and proud of adrianne and grace for moving on from ricky...but sooner or later one of them will have to crack...maybe at the same time..who knows..
Steff: i am glad they ignored his call. it just makes things more interesting. abd they finally got tired of him using them. also that addrienne is finally having a real relationship....even though it is with her brother. i can never wait for the next episode cuz this show just keeps getting better and better. LOL

Ok Somekid11 everyone has there own opinion just like this is mine but yeah anyway. My cuz got preg at 14/15 and kept her son. He is the sweetest and smartest 3 1/2 year old i have ever met. She didn't have any of the things u said amy and ben/ricky needs to care for that baby but she got it. My aunt helped her every once in a while my cuz never took advantage or her mom. And granted amy shouldn't have said yeah u can watch the baby. So yeah Amy should keep the baby and be a mommy to the baby she is goin to have. If your goin to have sex then you better be ready for a baby if you have one! My cuz is now 19 and is so happy and loves her son and cant imagine life without her littler boy.

ok... this show is REALLY starting to piss me off.

whoever the head writer is obviously has a biased opinion about adoption, and i think it's absolutely ridiculous. i understand that everyone wanting amy to keep the baby is a just plot device, but i think it sends an incredibly negative and offensive message about adoption.

unlike what everyone in the show thinks, adoption is wonderful. there are so many willing and deserving couples out there who would love to have children of their own, but aren't able to. it is truly the best (and most responsible) thing amy and ricky could do for their child. i know ricky/ben feel that he and amy could make good parents (and they could), but if anyone hasn't noticed: THEY ARE 15. they're kids. they don't have the maturity nor the income to raise a baby. and if you honestly believe that anne and george are just going to take the task head on of raising their daughter's baby for her, then you are clearly naive. and even the idea of anne taking care of the baby is messed up. "mom i got knocked up and was wondering if you could take my kid so i can go out and have my own life." no one thinks that's stupid and selfish? no hands?

and an open adoption would be great for the family (even if donovan and leon aren't the parents, since they kind of recanted in this episode). amy would be giving her son to a loving, mature couple and STILL get to see him. it's not like they're gonna put the baby in a bubble and send him off into the ocean where no one can touch him. this is the best situation she could possibly find herself in. she should consider herself lucky that they would allow her to see her baby at all. any other couple would have barred her off completely.

don't get me wrong: i understand how difficult it will be to let him go. of course, it will be incredibly hard for amy to give him up. it will probably be the hardest thing she will ever do. but knowing that she's giving him the best life possible will give her some comfort. and she still gets to see him. what could be better than that?

and let me just say this: when this show first began, ashley was my favorite character. now, every time i see her face i want to change the channel. her remarks against amy giving the baby up for adoption are just stupid. she has NO CLUE as to what the best thing for her nephew is. if she truly loved her sister, she'd want amy to give the baby up for adoption and for amy to have the childhood she deserves to have. and if she loved her nephew, she'd want him to grow up in a loving environment with no drama or strife. contrary to popular belief, she DOESN'T get the big picture. if anything, she's never even glanced at it. no offense to india, i think she's a great actress

i become worried about the young impressionable adolescents watching this program. what will happen when one gets pregnant and decides that the way amy is handling this situation is the RIGHT way? and don't tell me that teenagers won't think like this; i've read all of your comments. don't even lie.

i just think that whoever writes this script is extremely close-minded. my hope is that they will obtain a more realistic and open-minded perspective when it comes to teen issues as the show progresses. not everything is rosy, perfect, and humorous. believe me, i would know. it's really unsettling knowing that kids as young as 11 are watching this show with the belief that this is reality. i gotta say, it really scares me.

anyway. i apologize about the rant. sorry if i offended anyone, i didn't mean to. i just had to get it off of my chest. and i just pray that everyone understands how bad this show makes the process of adoption look. it really is a good decision. and if the baby does end up getting adopted, then it will be the most responsible thing amy has done since the show started.

p.s. and they seriously need to get rid of ben. he's annoying. make him move, kill him off, something.

I dont think this show really touches on the reality. i mean yeah....they bring it up, but the actors cant truely portray the stressfulness, or heartbreak that really comes with teen pregnancy. Amy is just way to calm...all the time. Im a teen mother and although I didnt have many negative symptoms from my pregnancy, i wasnt totally mellow all the time. Im sure the point of this show is to show teens the hardships they could face bvy not practicing safe sex or being abstinant. I still love this show...even though it isnt truely realistic....

okay i love this show but i think ben should stop trying to be the father. he seems like he dosent want ricky to be in the babys life. that is not his son its amy and rickys baby. i like the fact that he is trying to help her but trying to be the father is just too much. i would like to see amy and ricky together but i dont think they should because it may not last long. together or not its there baby not amy ,ricky and bens baby. i no he wants to be the father but hes not . if i was ricky i would be mad if someone else was trying to claim my child!!!
